Activities this Weekend, 5/16-5/18

They say "April showers bring May flowers", but this can't be what they were talking about!  The RedHawks game against Kent State was rained out last night and has been rescheduled for today at 1:00 p.m.  They have a game after that at 6:00 p.m.  The OVCB staff and Board Members enjoyed the hospitality extended to us by Miami University Athletics!  They really go "all out" to make their guests very welcome!  Go to www.muredhawks.com for game schedules and cheer on the RedHawks!

Today through Saturday, May 17th, Talawanda Middle School is hosting "2nd Annual History Day".  This is a great way to experience a much simpler time, a harder lifestyle and gain a better understanding of frontier life pre-1865.  Contact John Brinck at (513) 273-3358 or brinckj@talawanda.org for more information.  From 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. tonight, the Talawanda High School Exhibition Opening takes place at the Miami University Art Museum.  Call (513) 529-2232 or visit www.fna.muohio.edu/amu for more information.

Hike n' Bike for Life begins at Oxford Memorial Park at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning.  Call (513) 523-1814 for more information.  Join us from 1:00p.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Oxford Community Arts Center for "Fashionabley Fictional", as the local 4-H group models some fashions from their favorite literary characters and eras.  Create your own paper doll and fashion trend, ages 8-12.  Call (513) 523-7531 for more information.

On Sunday at 2:00 p.m., the Woven Concert takes place at the Oxford Community Arts Center.  Special guests include Lisa Biales, Laurie Traveline Neyer, Sirenz, Christine House Shumway and Sandra Seefelt.  Refreshments will be served and admission is free.  But all donations will support the programs of the Oxford Community Arts Center, www.oxarts.org.
